Japanese Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada and the secretary of the United States Hillary Clinton agreed ny phone on monday to maintain a close relationship under the new cabinet, officials said. It was their first conversation since Okada remember his post in a cabinet that formed by new Prime Minister Naoto Kan in June. "Our Minister Okada said the Japan-US alliance is a cornerstone of Japan's diplomacy" the Japanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement. "The two Ministers agreed to cooperate closely from now on" Okada swear to follow the accord reached by the previous cabinet on the relocation of an unpopular US base on Okinawa, while asking for US efforts to reduce the "burden" of the US military presence on the Southern Japanese island. In May, Tokyo and Washington that our Marine Corps Air Station Futenma would be moved under the first agreement in 2006 from urban areas in Okinawa Island and Henoko coast. Okada and Clinton also agreed to cooperate on key diplomatic issues, including the sinking of South Korea warship blamed on North Korea and talk at the UN Security Council against Iran in response to their nuclear program, they said.
In my opinion, as I said at the beginning, they will be more powerful if they work together. I think they should hurry to solve the nuclear problem and the sinking boat problem because they can make problems, and they can make an effect to the relationship between the United States of America and Japan.
